George is an acknowledged nonprofit sector leader with an extensive and accomplished consulting background. He began his fundraising career in 1984 with an international consulting firm and after gaining further experience with two national consulting companies with an emphasis on capital campaigns, he joined The Goldie Company in 1996. A graduate of the University of Toronto, George earned his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 1990. He has been an active participant with the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is frequently asked to speak to organizations on the 12-Step Fundraising program.

A former board member of the Canadian Charitable Annuity Association and several charities, Paul is currently chair of the advisory committee of the Humber College Postgraduate Fundraising Program and writes for the publication “Gift Planning in Canada” and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

He serves as incoming Vice President of the Board of Directors of Hopewell Children’s Homes and is a member of the Campaign Cabinet for the Athletics Department, University of Guelph. Peter owns Petrona Associates, a training, facilitation and marketing company and is on the road about 100 days a year with a wide variety of clients. Peter also works with the Goldie Company where he handles marketing and communication strategies for Goldie clients. With Ed Sluga, he co-authored Worthy and Prepared, a fundraising how-to book for smaller charities, published by Civil Sector Press in 2009.
